Took a chance on this, as the mid-range tripod range is a bit of minefield. In fact, tripod purchasing in general is a total nightmare...Anyway, a little anxious about quality, I decided it was worth of a visit to the Chinese manufacturer's (Xiletu) website and after investigating the products on offer, I was convinced that they meant business.I've always liked camo, and my camera is styled the same. It was worth a punt!Seller was again unknown, but was associated with Amazon and had great feedback; answered my questions promptly and accurately. So I placed my order...Less than 10 days later, the parcel arrived!Upon opening, a quality printed box was revealed. QA control stamps and holograms...Looking good.Opening the box carefully as I like quality boxes, I drew out the padded carry-bag; again oozing quality. Stitching of logo was excellent, as were the fixings to the shoulder strap...Looking even better!Next came the tripod itself. What can I say, quality. Carbon was finished to an excellent standard, all the fixings were machined well and the fit screamed craftsmanship. The head's build is solid and overall looks class; the movement is sublime and a smooth as silk.The monopod is removed easily and the unit is beyond versatile...If you can fall in love with a tripod, I'm head over heels and still falling.Forget your big names and invest in a relatively unknown, but quality piece of obvious and impressive painstaking machining!I'm taking it to Wales shortly to put through paces at Mach Loop and astrophotography, and will update...Thumbs-up to Z-StandBy, excellent and better than expected service, would definitely buy again and sing your praises.
